Looking for a set up that's both easy to push and easy on the pockets? You've found it! The AB 3.0 All-Around brings you low to the ground with its drops, and even more so with the Zenit Flow wheels, which means that you won't have to squat so low and shift your balance around while you're pushing along. Plus, because of the Caliber Standard trucks, you'll get to experience that liberating turning experience while maintaining ultimate stability.
You can always choose a different colour Flow Wheel without affecting the cost of the complete board by selecting the board, trucks, and wheels seperately!
The complete board is shipped unassembled so, if you don't own one already, we recommend the purchase of a Skate Tool to setup your complete board.
The AB 3.0 is a sleeper. With a low key look, you'd never imagine that this thing could roll with the big kids, but my oh my, get ready.
A 9.5" to 9.1" taper, comfortable and progressive concave, and double drops at either end of the board make this an adventurous LDP monster. Not only low to the ground for effortless pushing, the platform's concave proves to be valuable for pushing and can even support freeriding, should your path inevitably take you down that mountain you just pushed up.
Solidified by a unidirectional carbon fibre stringer running throughout, the 3.0's new construction can handle heavy duty riding and riders. The increased strength and rebound of the precured fibreglass means on its widest wheelbase, the 3.0's a pumping monster with a little more flex; on it's narrowest, it has the strength to carry anybody.
Stiffness: 8.5 / 10
Push : 10 / 10
Cruise : 10 / 10
Weight : 3.75 lbs
We recommend adding a ply if you weigh more than 300 lbs.
Bio sourced Greenpoxy laminates two sheets of pre-tensioned, pre-cured triaxial fibreglass to four plies of Hard Rock Canadian Maple and one central Poplar ply, as well as a stringer of unidirectional carbon that provides support along the length of the board. Together, you get a water risistant distance board fit for whatever weather you're riding in.
It goes without mentioning that the fibreglass eternally protects the graphic from rocks, curbs, and worst of all, speed bumps. That’s right, the graphic’s there forever!
The AB 3.0 is laminated with Greenpoxy, a bio epoxy that makes the board extremely water resistant. You'll never have to worry about rain when you're out on a journey again.
Simplicity enthralls; complexity gets lost in the cacophony.
The weather and work have prevented longer rides but so far, I love my new board. Build quality seems great. The only glitch was very minor, I think it should have come with some thin, soft risers/shock pads. Being a double drop, the "name" of the trucks sits right on the board. I ended up creating my own from gasket material. Not a big deal, just something that should be included I think. Not saying for free either, just to be clear. The board is configured with Paris V3 165mm 50º and Orangatang Caguama - 77a 85mm wheels. Again, very low distance on it, at this point, but it rolls like butter! Nice turning, but not twitchy. Will need to push harder to check for wheel bite, a static test on carpet reveals it's close! Might replace roadside cones with barrels and go harder all the way around too. Need some more time on the board to figure that out for sure. Overall, 5 stars for the company, ordering and the board itself.
It only took me 30min of riding to fall in love with the board. The flex is on point (dampers rough pavement without feeling too flexy when pushing), stability is stellar (with 180mm RKPs) and the super low platform makes it really effortless to push. It's also super nimble and it feels like it would slide smoothly with freeride wheels. Such an upgrade from my good old Landyachtz. I just can't stop riding!
This board pushes and foot brakes like an absolute dream! Super stable, and has paired exceptionally well with 165mm Paris RKP trucks and 85mm Speed Vents! Not quite rail matched, but close enough for me.
At 32 years old I decided to get back into skateboarding. I purchased an AB after trying a friends board. I’m so glad I chose the AB, I can cruise anywhere however I want. If I want to go fast I easily can, if I want to chill and push a couple times a minute I can relax. This board is so fun to explore pathways and suburbs with. My feet feel well planted and there’s board under them, I’m comfortable taking this board out all day and doing errands or whatever I need to. It’s so confidence inspiring my wife has claimed it as her own.
The board is basically perfect for flatland riding and commuting. I set this board up with the 85mm blue Caguamas instead of the 80mm Kegels and the RKP Caliber II 184mm 50° Trucks through the longer wheel base holes. I'm about 315lbs, 6'1" and with this setup, I get no wheelbite.
The board has just the slightest amount of flex, and with the soft giant wheels, the setup is the smoothest I've ever ridden. I'm able to easily cruise through patches of rough pavement with ease - something that I dreaded doing on my old board (pintail with 70mm wheels). Generally, the AB 3.0 requires one push and rolls seemingly forever. I've taken it to a parking structure and did some carving, and with my feet placed where the platform drops, I felt super locked in.
I would recommend this board to anyone.
Sidenote, with the RKP Caliber II 184mm 50° Trucks installed on the longer wheelbase holes (28.75" wheelbase), the truck baseplate sticks out farther than the board, which is great for hitting a curb because the wood won't get damaged.
